In celebration of
@realgdt.bsky.social ‘s Frankenstein releasing on Netflix, here’s my Halloween costume from years ago. I can’t wait to try the Elordi version of the creature makeup.
Side note, this is my favorite film of the year. Carve it on my tombstone next to Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

Drive-In of the Dead was a success! Over 60 vendors braved the temps and we couldn’t be more grateful.
Between 450 and 600 guests came out to support, to buy cool stuff, and to meet fellow horror hounds.
We’re so happy to host something like this in the PNW. Thank you guys🦇
-Brothers in Blood
If you’re a horror hound in the PNW please come to this event my brother and I are hosting/presenting. We put it together and want all the spooky creeps to come out.
There will be:
•60+ horror vendors
•A double feature of Fright Night & Bram Stoker’s Dracula at sundown
More info on the flyer!
POV: you’re in a cybertruck and I pull up next to you
Looking for vendors, VHS swappers, etc., for a horror-themed event at the 99w Drive-In this August, outside of Portland. We’ve got about 25 more spaces available 🤘
I finally own a VHS copy of Mandy🐅Here’s my best interpretation of Nicolas Cage as Red to celebrate it📼
Here’s your reminder that Bram Stoker’s Dracula is the best Dracula adaptation, and a top tier vampire flick

VHS and book haul from this past weekend
All this month Brothers in Blood is releasing episodes on horror films starring Nicolas Cage🪓And Mandy is up first! Welcome to the AGE OF CAGE.
The art (done by Alex himself) is him and I as Red Miller 💀
Rewatching 1986’s Highlander and the Kurgan is just so damn cool. Eat your heart out, Carnivore-era Peter Steele⚔️
Beginning April 28th and running through May will be the AGE OF CAGE on Brothers in Blood. Each week we’ll be covering a Nicolas Cage horror movie, so prepare yourself for terrible impersonations!
Val Kilmer as Madmartigan in Willow 1988
Fuck yeah, got my tix🤘
Toxie Tuesday
Sometimes…the sequel is bettah (said in Maine accent). As is the case with Pet Sematary 2, a movie that manages to escape the shadow of King’s incredible novel, and create a grungy story set in the same world as the first, but far more engaging.
Friday Checklist:
•Hail Satan
•Listen to doom metal
•Workout
•Watch horror movies on VHS
•Drink 1000 beers
The hat and bow tie are the most stylish choice for jizz.
My thoughts on Tobe Hooper’s “Eaten Alive”, his follow up to “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre”:
Michael J Fox is eating a bowl of Boo Berry in “The Frighteners” and while recording an episode on it for Brothers in Blood (a horror movie podcast), my brother pointed out that Boo Berry kinda just looks like c*m wearing a hat.
True or not?
Kinda crazy how Robert Englund (pictured here in Hooper’s “Eaten Alive”) managed to keep the same hairline since 1976.
Werewolf Wednesday? Uh, how about Teen Wolf TOOsday?
There are two kinds of people in this world…those who like The Toxic Avenger, and those who are wrong.
Great picks! King is actually a huge AC/DC fan, I think I read that he would listen to them while writing. Did you know The Dickies have a Toxic Avenger song? It wasn’t in any of the movies though.
Dude, you’re 100% right. This actually might be my favorite entry in the series; I saw it before any of the others as a kid, and it freaked me out. Just a hot, sweaty, nightmare. A dude at the bar literally tonight said this one sucks, and I was like yeah, this guy doesn’t get it.
What’s your favorite horror movie tie-in song?
I love Partytime by 45 Grave from ROTLD, Dream Warriors by Dokken from (you guessed it) NOES 3: Dream Warriors, and He’s Back (The Man Behind the Mask) by Alice Cooper from Friday the 13th pt 6: Jason Lives.
I moved to the PNW from the Baltimore area about 6 years ago. A few things I miss:
•Fall (haunted attractions, pumpkin patches with apple orchards, colorful leaves, etc.)
•Old buildings with their historic architecture and ghosts
•Thunderstorms
•Lightning bugs
•Well-meaning people w/attitude
My tattoo of the Beast 🪓 from “Mandy” (2018) done in 2023. I stand by this being a top 3 movie of the 2010s, and probably Cage’s best performance.
“Dog Soldiers” (2002), really holds up well. This non-stop, macho fest of fuckery remains a favorite of mine within the werewolf subgenre.
Killer design for the creatures, some capital “B” badass moments (werewolf fist fight), and gory action made me fall in love with this movie as a kid.
