Graphic that reads: Who works in Australian publishing? Coming soon. The next iteration of the Australian publishing industry workforce survey on diversity and inclusion, run by the Australian Publishers Association and University of Melbourne.
About the survey: The purpose of this survey is to collect information on the demographic makeup of the Australian book publishing industry workforce. It is a follow-up to the 2022 survey intended to track changes over time. It provides baseline data from which we can better understand our industry and potentially, implement effective, targeted programs to benefit publishing employees. We can benchmark against the last survey, against publishing internationally, and against other industries. Everyone who works in Australian book publishing is invited to participate in this survey. The survey is voluntary and completely anonymous.
The second iteration of the Australian Publishing Industry Workforce Survey on Diversity and Inclusion is launching soon!
I'm honoured to be working with the Australian Publishing Association, @bethdriscoll.bsky.social and Sandra Phillips on this important research about Australian publishing.

A question for my colleagues in creative industries…can anyone point me to work that uses creative methods to research the creative industries? Non-traditional or unusual methodologies?
Looking forward to reading this!
I haz blogpost! It's in Dutch but don't we all use online translator (use the normal one, not AI). It's about a speculative method I discovered thx to @clairesquires.bsky.social & @bethdriscoll.bsky.social. There are no performances planned for this year, but if you interested, drop me a DM.
Happy UllaValentine’s! Meet your Method (and maybe sign up)!! open.substack.com/pub/ullapool... @bethdriscoll.bsky.social
