This is wonderful news. @robpalk.bsky.social is a brilliant and hilarious writer ⭐
We're thrilled to announce a two-book deal with @robpalk.bsky.social . 📚 The Crowd Pleaser (Feb 2027) and a reissue of Animal Lovers (Oct 2026) – funny, tender, and quietly devastating comic fiction. We can't wait to share them.
First run of Keshed is pretty much gone. Second run imminent. 1000 of you fuckers have bought this thing, gow'd ya like them apples?! 😆

I wrote about my experience of love—where intimacy has grown to feel unexpectedly political—and about parts of the N. Ireland I know. The binaries are more unstable than so often depicted. We're still in flux. I'd say the most personal and challenging piece I've written:
There’s an unbelievable playlist on here for #Keshed
Thank you Stu!

@stuhennigan.bsky.social justice finished your novel. Extraordinary writing, especially about the childhood and college experiences, & depression. The end has done me in. Wasn’t expecting that. Well done, Stu. #booksky

Really exciting to see all the crossovers - Keshed is such a brave, brutal sledgehammer of a book, am honoured to be in same breath
Haha - no, about a mighty 12 remaining. You’re a hero 💪
Front on photo of a copy of V by Tony Harrison, backdrop of paperbacks on a bookshelf, mostly Penguin classics editions of Jean Rhys to the left, some other weird tackle to the right including Alicia Kopf, Huysmans and Aliens and Anorexia by the Chris Kraus; Ben Myers and James Scudamore like topstones horizontal above.
What's this in the book exchange? A pristine copy of a 1994 special edition of V, with press clippings and pictures from when it was first broadcast? Someone compared my work to this recently and I nearly died. I LOVE this, my copy is a knackered ex-library one, and finding this has made my day.
Needless to say, it's on The List. And it's namechecked in Ghost Signs. Pls note - two awesome books absent cos the website's not got them but here in spirit(s):
Mother of Darkness by @vvwelby.bsky.social
A Decade Of Drinking With Ghosts by @bobbygant.bsky.social
uk.bookshop.org/lists/how-to...
It’s an awesome list
Honoured to be there in spirit 🤍
Unbelievable crossover, frankly, and yet in terms of form, style, voice, they could hardly be more different. Such is the beauty of the writing game. All #booksky folk urged to check this out, whether you've read Keshed or not. First class fiction, fresh as fuck.
Would love it too - a hell of a lot to discuss!
This is a fucking great book. Signed copies available from @vvwelby.bsky.social website if you're quick, it's out of print now but a brilliant read if you fancy Keshed in Soho shooting up Greek classics while the Furies (and crystal meth) drive you insane 😎
Thank you! 🤍
Thanks Stu! Such a huge and bizarre crossover with the brilliant Keshed. We should do an event or something 😉 x
