Ah, thank you! I adored this poem. My partner was reading the issue and asked if he could read this poem out loud to me. I was so pleasantly surprised to see your name when I picked up the issue for myself a few days later!
Trumpeting in @arcpoetry.bsky.social and thrilled about it. Thanks to the team for including me!

Screenshot of “The Sea-Witchss at Nightfall” from an uncanny Magazine’s website. The text is as follows: Clutched in cold hands and freed to blue topographies a sacred transmission pulses as the light lowers a bright chorus metewintoq is heard singing from night’s dark throat— Each moment is a pearl spat from shell gesigawitgl they flow swiftly— into our depths, where we divine the future far from the closed mouth of the nacreous moon— In the place of low light wasoqonmeg we keep it lit— the gleaming lantern of every eye— and fish trail stars on silk as hope sways silver above us on a sky that toqjua’t sipug swims upstream.

It was a very good writing year for me, with my first fiction pub, the CBC prize longlist, etc. But I’m definitely most proud of Heliotropia, love poems intersecting with space and joy, a theme that feels the most “me”
