Stream schedule for this upcoming week! I'm starting Zorldo an hour earlier than usual on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday is the day before raid, so I'll be doing chill WoW things that night to prep. See you soon, frebs. 💜

In Super Mario 64, if a shell-less Koopa bumps into Mario while he is asleep, he will enter a "sleepwalking" state, where all of his voice sounds are replaced by snoring. He will continue snoring even when being shot out of a cannon; the only way to wake him up is to harm him.

Have to cancel for tonight. Sorry, frebs. My seasonal insomnia is way too bad right now. I probably won’t make a schedule for next week just in case it continues and stream when I can physically handle it.

The 1998 official site for Nintendo Australia had a deliberately silly aesthetic with small animations and edits to official renders. For the "HELP" button, Yoshi's pupils were made smaller than usual to give him a "concerned" expression, as though in need of help.

Shigeru Miyamoto was very impressed by Banjo-Kazooie during its development, even expressing that it surpasses Super Mario 64 in some ways: "If Super Mario 64 is a makunouchi bento, then Banjo-Kazooie is a deluxe makunouchi bento."

This art features 100 bees of various colors and shapes.
These bees are designed in a cartoonish style, based on real species. The common name or species is written below the animals.
Some bees are moving leaves, scraping plant hair, or sticking out their tongues. Some male bees have hairy faces and unusually shaped legs. There are also baby bees that have just hatched from their petal nests. Cute and colorful atmosphere. There are over 20,000 species of bees, so I only depicted a very small fraction of them!

Have you played it on your own, too? I am curious as to how the multiplayer experience compares to single player. It seems like some aspects would be much easier with even just one other person.

Games are so obnoxiously expensive right now. You could always play the GBA version on NSO with a friend. ^^

Another Zelda game down! If you haven't tried Four Swords Adventures on GameCube, I highly recommend it. It's a great little game. 💚

"In those days, Miyamoto would come to us at 11 PM, after he finished all of his board-member work, and say, "It's Mario time." At that point, we'd start a planning meeting that would run until 2 AM. At that point, Miyamoto would go home, leaving us with the words, "You should return home soon, for your health." Over the next two or three hours, we'd write the game design documents and summarize the instructions for our artists and programmers.

It was the craziest crunch time that I've ever experienced in my development career. But if the God of Games was working so much, could we give up? Miyamoto had incredible stamina."

-Motoi Okamoto, Script and Mini-Game Director for Super Mario 64 DS, in a 2017 interview with Chris Kohler from Gamasutra

According to Motoi Okamoto, Mini-Game Director for Super Mario 64 DS, Shigeru Miyamoto would start midnight crunch sessions for the game's development by walking into the office and announcing "It's Mario time."
