One feature of the Nazi conquest of France was the astonishing defections among the intelligentsia, including some of the left-wing political intelligentsia. The intelligentsia are the people who squeal loudest against Fascism, and yet a respectable proportion of them collapse into defeatism when the pinch comes. They are far-sighted enough to see the odds against them, and moreover they can be bribed—for it is evident that the Nazis think it worth while to bribe the intellectuals.

I’ve seen it several times. I hope more people watch it. Excited to see what Joseph Bennett does with “Common Side Effects.”

I usually leave dessert to other people 😅 my sister made a chocolate pound cake with a coffee rum glaze, it’s amazing.

I’ve done all of the cooking for the past 5 years. Usually pot roast, garlic mashed potatoes, roasted carrots with a maple tahini sauce, buttermilk biscuits, and something green (this year it was asparagus).

Zero reward for the white supremacist killer who murdered a teen in Manhattan the same day. Yeremi Colino does not matter to these people.

Oh, good luck! I remember that tiny voice in the back of my head whining, “didn’t we already do this?” The whole time.

I’m so excited for the positivity on this app and its users’ willingness to leave the negativity of the other place behind as it sinks into a bog of bots, porn, ads, and racism.

Netflix should greenlight a documentary about how we as a society make the worst people famous and then they turn around and cash out on it for years

idk I think it’d do well

Any kind of environment where the majority of your surroundings are fear/rage based will usually give rise to some form of fascism.
