It's really horrific. Seeing so many young men (mostly men, but more women now) having their brains destroyed and lives ruined even just from playing local club level contact sports. And like you said CTE from non-concussive injury is really misunderstood. Pro codes still want to hide reality.

Now I really notice when scallop diving my vision distance is super short. I'd rather not need for reading though
