If I'm not at my desk or teaching, I'm sleeping these days.

I’m offering a lightly used set of regalia in UC Berkeley colors to a junior faculty member, preference for a mom and 1st gen scholar. DM me your details— I’ll ship for free.
This is incredibly disappointing and disheartening, Larisa. You deserve better. The students in your department deserve better. How absolutely self-destructive on Columbia’s part.
Home in rural Michigan and I find myself quite emotional when driving through farmland that is being devoured by data centers under construction. I resent that so much of what people enjoy in life, myself included, is subsidized by those who are most vulnerable.
Speaker a podium standing to the left of a screen featuring Roxane Gay and a quote from her book "Bad Feminist."
This week, I had the opportunity to participate in a "student takeover" event in the humanities. 8 faculty from across the uni were asked to talk about a humanities figure who "changed their mind." I chose to talk about Roxane Gay, who helped me appreciate the complexity of the human experience.
I read "musical weather" several times...and thought this was your way of saying you didn't like storms. I also don't enjoy musical theater.
Oh, fantastic!
In my favorite city (Chicago) next week for MPA! Importantly, my fantastic honors student, Shania, is presenting. Also important, I can’t wait to eat my favorite foods 🥰
Just bought a sweater in 3 colors from J Crew, so I’m right there with you.

I left my mom at the checkout line to put something back and she didn’t have any form of payment. I wonder if she felt 1% the anxiety I would feel when left at the checkout as a child.
At least you weren’t at a casino! (bad joke)
There are two certainties in my life: death and having a multi-day migraine during a conference.
Um am I your friend? (Captivated by these reviews.)
It’s very kind of you to create and share this!
Going to Ithaca for the first time ever tomorrow…I heard it’s gorges.

This week, I’m looking forward to launching my Youth Research Seminar with Long Island high school students. We’re taking a deep dive into research and, I’m hoping, getting some students interested in pursuing careers in science! If you’ve implemented such a program, please let me know.
I haven’t been to Haidilao! So, I can’t say. It looks good - I’d certainly be up for joining you there if I were in town for SPSP.
Oh which one are you looking at? My fave in the city is Qiao Lin!
I got a Barb you can borrow for now.
I just want to rest but, as a marketing prof, I have a responsibility to watch all the ads…
