Charlie Kirk, Redeemed: A Political Class Finds Its Lost Cause By ignoring the rhetoric and actions of the Turning Point USA founder, pundits and politicians are sanitizing his legacy.

Ta-Nehasi Coates is doing a lot of things with this essay, but one of the most important is fearlessly using examples of anti-trans hate to describe Charlie Kirk's politics.

The contrast between his choices and those of other writers for major legacy outlets is revealing.

Back in grade school I saw this cover in the grocery store, and it stopped me in my tracks. I immediately knew I had to read this book.

A notebook with a diagram of four pink and orange squares with a math symbol in each square. On top of the notebook a piece of tunesian crochet reproducing the diagram. The crochet is halfway done.

I'm about halfway through this intarsia tunesian crochet project. It will look a lot better after blocking.

I took a break from my weaving project to spin up a trans pride braid. I really like how it came out. This yarn will probably become a hat.

The hank on the lower right is the one I plied in the wrong direction. It's like a spring.

Three hanks of natural white yarn sitting next to an EEW 6.0 in front of a window. One hank is super curly because I plied it in the wrong direction.

I ran out of white yarn for my project, so I went back to my border leicester fleece to spin some more.

When I first started plying the singles I couldn't figure out why they were so dang unmanageable until I noticed I forgot to change direction on my EEW.

I finished 24 squares made via continuous strand weaving. I've crocheted them together to see how they look.

I made an error in one of my squares, so I replaced it. As an experiment I tried felting the square with the error to see how much it would shrink. You can see in the pictures below that it went from 6.5 inches on a side down to 5 inches on a side

Here is the finished square prior to blocking. After blocking that potato chip shape flattens right out.
