Agree. And if you’ve organized for 10 mins, you know that the folks affected by the policies or conditions are the ones who are experts, and in this case, are the folks who are leading the response in Montgomery county, Maryland. The decision was made WITH community not FOR the community.

This is a pretty big attack on the First Amendment. And an encroachment on universities' powers to decide what protests to allow and who to expel.....
“Resolved an error”? “We apologize for the mistake”? This is outrageous! And no actual accountability for the harm…
Moms for Liberty is shifting its focus to restorative justice, despite studies showing these programs improve social outcomes for students and communities. Critics question the group’s intentions.
This is going to be an extremely important case. Right now orgs ranging from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to AIDS/HIV advocacy, colleges, crisis centers, and more are being told to pretend trans people don't exist or lose your funding... and many are choosing to pretend!

The Stonewall Inn and The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative are outraged and appalled by the recent removal of the word 'transgender' from the Stonewall National Monument page on the National Park Service website. This blatant act of erasure not only distorts the truth of our history, but it also dishonors the immense contributions of transgender individuals - especially transgender women of color - who were at the forefront of the Stonewall Riots and the broader fight for LGBTQ+ rights. The Stonewall Inn released a response to the National Parks Service removing the word transgender from the park outside of the Inn. A great reminder that we have to look after each other
