In an effort to combat climate change, participants at the California-Nevada Summit on Fossil Fuel Divestment approved a resolution that will now go before annual conference voters. The New York and Pacific Northwest conferences passed similar divestment resolutions some years ago.

In a collaborative effort to tackle the housing crisis, the city of Bothell has donated land valued at $6 million to Bothell UMC to build a 200-unit affordable housing, retail and community center downtown. The partnership aims to provide affordable housing solutions for the community.
