Neat!
I still kick myself for choosing a CP200 over a Promega 3 at the same price (over 2 decades ago). Built like a tank w/ mechanical presets, I still think about playing that thing.

I was about to add Pinball Construction Set but I’m glad someone beat me to it! Spent lots of time going between that, Scorched Earth and TheDRAW! ANSI editor.
My first PC was the EX, it was similar with no HDD, but this just jogged a memory of being a 10 year old and staying up late doing the slalom course in Chuck Yeager’s AFT.
It’s funny because I hear him using it in other contexts like when I was taking a picture of my bowl of pho. “Dad, stop taking so many pictures. You’re being like obsessed modern time people always taking photos.”
I asked where he got the term ‘modern time’. Was it a teacher? He reminded me: “Remember when you said there wasn’t very many photos or video of 9/11 because it was before the modern time with smartphones.”
Oh yeah. I guess that was me.
My kid asked what teenagers did before “modern time” (a term he uses to describe our social media/smarphone era) I ended up having to explain not all coffee shops were Starbucks and some used to have couches and stay open until 9 or 10.
Might you be thinking of GreenMouse on Race Street after the Safeway? Usually it’s free as long as there are no batteries or appliances. Of course I could get rid of these but then the very next day for some reason I would need to get a 2001 iMac Indigo DV to capture video from a 2005 Sony Handicam.
Anyone else have a doom box of obsolete cables, it can’t be just me, right?
Dang that would have been a good show to catch. Saw him play The Edge in Palo Alto over a quarter century ago.
Yo, Chito said wattup.
As someone who used to write a lot of copy, I can already imagine the conversations held around this paragraph.
PSA: Don’t try plugging your laptop into some random outlet you find at your son’s soccer practice. I heard a loud pop and smelled something electrical. Laptop is OK but I’m at the Apple Store buying a new adapter.
No amount of outrage could persuade Sizzlers to change their logo back to this monstrosity.

“He kind of sounds like Dracula.” — My 9 year old after listening to the first 3 songs of Dead Kennedys’ Frankenchrist
Summertime will give us delicious stone fruits and just bounce-out for six months.
I want a Rancid album where all the songs are about places or things along VTA route 60.
Kool and The Gang, ‘Too Hot’ – When that sax solo comes in and then follows the chord change, there’s such expert phrasing in the notes, I can listen to it a dozen times. youtu.be/ZI0F1KDvfBI?...

Before Great America (Santa Clara) closes forever, they should bring back concerts — including their largest one ever: Vanilla Ice: To the Extreme, Sept. 7, 1991.
Oops, typo; y’all know that was supposed to be Eastwood.
where the heck on earth could I get 40 avocados for $2?
Woke up this morning asking myself if this really happened last night. Yes, it did. (after Deltron 3030 performed all the songs from their May 2000 debut album they did an encore of Gorillaz’s ‘Clint Wastwood’)
It’s a text message where I am writing to a friend: lezzgothatplace that makes the little cups out of ham .. hamslammerz .. the glasses are made of molded ham steak. shots poured into them and then drop em in a michelada or bloodymary. they got one shot where the glass is molded frozen bacon fat filled with duck fat. you watch it melt on a an elevated hot plate and watch it drip over the top of an order of garlic fries. last time I went it was crowded and they didn’t have the mechanical bull working yet
Whenever a friend asks me where I want to go to lunch, my first suggestion is always a fictitious place that I only wish existed.
You know you’re at a fancy place when they have the latest newspaper on display at the urinals.
Latest addition to my desk distractions.
