My perception has been that the amount of grown food necessary to raise meat is high enough to effectively cause meat to require more plant-farming than a plant diet, but haven't looked much into whether specific plant ingredients are bad enough to overcome that.

I'd actually be very curious to find out how the numbers work out between that and growing feed for animal industry stuff.
