Alberta Poli-Sci 113 Exam: please put these activities in the correct order
--think up policy idea
--send policy idea to a referendum
--get referendum results
--ignore referendum results
--make the decision
--take policy concept to the legislature for debate
--implement what-ever

WOW: A stunning new report in the WSJ reveals that military advisers intentionally excluded Donald Trump from the command room during the recent high-stakes operation to extract a downed U.S. airman in Iran, because they feared his erratic behavior could jeopardize the mission. 1/

i guess that the job of Mayor includes being cordial to the Minister of Municipal Affairs, no matter how bad the current one is

yes, many newer smartphones can use satellites.

perhaps Weatheradio transmitters could be maintained only where there isn't good cell coverage?

but that would only help for weather warnings. seems to me that people travelling in those areas also need to be able to call for help?

what do you think, Dave?

for me, it's about priorities; surely, ECCC can't be expected to maintain old systems forever. how many people use it, and don't have another way to get warnings??

This story is a microcosm of what the UCP has become under Premier Danielle Smith's regime. @matthewblack.ca deserves the public's thanks for pursuing records that the UCP govt had absolutely no legal reason to withhold. Evidence of Smith's growing authoritarianism is on full display here.

An important time in Canada's history. Can you imagine trying to get this done today, with the increased partisanship and lack of cooperation between Ottawa and the provinces? It would never happen

What is the important Strait of Hormuz? I've never heard that term. I know what the Strait of Hormuz is but I've never heard it described-- as the important Strait of Hormuz

Joseph Armand Bombardier wearing a dark suit, white dress shirt, and patterned tie, with a white pocket square. He has a thin mustache and wears glasses. The portrait is formal, with him facing forward against a softly blurred indoor background.

Joseph-Armand Bombardier took a tragedy and created something to help others in that same situation.
His Ski-Dog (renamed Ski-Doo because of a printing error) is an iconic Canadian invention, but he did much more in his life.
This is his story.
