Try Yakuza 0? They are an experience, I think people either love or hate them.

The First WORLD FENCING LEAGUE is happening April 25th!!! I'M GEEKING!!!
Japanese engineers developed this "Sword Tip Visualisation" tracking technology specifically for this event that will make it so much easier for the average person to see what's going on!
I MUST WATCH THIS ENTIRE TOURNAMENT
One of the things I most resent about this is that I know it to be a deliberate strategy by Netanyahu, he does not want Jewish people to feel safe living outside Israel. And it’s working, global antisemitism is rising. The antisemites are making his point for him.
All of his businesses and property should be nationalized and dissolved and he should be stripped of literally every single asset and dollar. Put him in public housing and let him live off of whatever UBI the next Congress passes.
I was once catching up with a few people whose careers I respect to get some thoughts about what to do next and one of them said
"You know, your next thing doesn't have to be bigger than your last thing."
And it remains one of the most creatively freeing things I've ever heard.
Weirdly, that one is strong enough that the pause (and the smile) stays in my brain, but not the voice.
What I do get is phrases accidentally triggering song lyrics.
Like I’ve assumed everyone only hears their own inner voice until recently, and I’m still not 100% sure it’s not another ‘is this a difference of expression or of mind’?
For specific regional things: research the way they say things, listen to examples... find what I want said and then 'translate' it? (And check with actual speakers.) For characters... perform them. Like in a play. (I find emotional tone _very_ easy as I feel their in context feelings.)
I wonder if it's why I can't really learn accents? I can only hear them in the moment and not in memory.
I hear them, but like in *my* voice. The words stripped of accent.
I can also recognise voices and know when they've changed. I just can't *hear* them in my memory.
So is there an aphantasia thing, but for voices? When recalling other people speaking, I hear everything in the same voice I hear my thoughts in. I can't replay accents, pitch at all.
(I can *remember* those details, like knowing someone speaks fast or low or nasal. But I don't 'memory hear' it.)
so... have you played the Yakuza games? Wondering if the tonal swings are comparable.

Ironically the BBC stumbled on a really important story: Desperate asylum seekers being forced to turn to fraudulent fee-charging “advisors” to navigate a system that is intentionally impossibly baroque and from which all sources of free advice have been removed.
But no: they chose Fake Gay Panic.
An anti rec is still useful, thank you!
.., but then I’d have to get a water roller too. Which I guess is sensible but also more stuff.
Does anyone have a kettle they really love? That doesn’t explode after a few months of London hard water? That also doesn’t look shit?
I just know if I try to research this I’ll spend hours of my life in a hyper focus hole. I want answers. (Please)

it goes like this
- the economy is strong
- no, there's a lot of money in the economy it's just going to 11 people
- yeah, that means the economy is going strong
- but 80% of us are struggling
- but on average the economy is strong
- gas prices are ten bucks and I can't afford rent

I’ve had ‘at the end of the day’ stuck in my head all day and while the world kinda makes it appropriate, I would really really love to be thinking of any other song now please.
Dosa Divas is out today and it’s fantastic — bright, warm, and wonderful all the way through. But I really connected with the radical healing power of sharing meals.
There’s a compelling gameplay loop always circling that idea: food is love, and love is revolutionary.

What kills me if the pull quote about prescribing it to teenagers. It is fully banned in the UK, thanks in large part to the Daily Mail, for only one group of teens: trans kids.
• Delivering single-sex spaces on the basis of biological sex, in NHS wards, schools, sport and everyday life by upholding the Equality Act and delivering clear instructions to public services on how to comply with their legal obligations to women and to trans people. • Keeping women's prisons for women, instructing the Scottish Prison Service to remove all biologically male prisoners from women's prisons within days of the election. • Recommit the NHS to delivering single sex wards on the basis of biological sex, and ensuring patients can request same sex provision wherever possible.

Doctors Without Borders is my charity of choice, not only because they are hands-on providing help in every major (and minor) conflict and catastrophe, but also because they have a very small organisational overhead. Meaning a very large percentage of your donation goes directly to helping people.
The Guardian headline: The Artemis II crew made it through 10 days in space together - but could they have survived my first office job?
I try not to dunk anymore but Jesus CHRIST can someone check on opinion columnists because they are deeply unwell.
A powerful man sexually pursuing a young woman who works for him is oppressive. It immediately limits and reshapes her future to her detriment, whether she is physically forced into it or not. It’s coercion either way, and that is why it’s so wrong. It’s an abuse of power.
