To wrap up the holidays, I've just released the Crafting Update for Mythmaster. The update has rules to support player crafting, including alchemy, illumination & enchanting. Now players can craft their own potions, scrolls & magic items!

Following a couple bug reports, I fixed an issue with certain parts of the character sheet not appearing until you save and reload a character - now they appear when they should with no need to save and load. Beta 3.0.0.1 is now live at www.mythmasterrpg.com

The Character Generator is now the Character Tool allowing real-time character management as you play! Months of testing also bring a refining of progression plus many improvements & additions, all just in time for your holiday play sessions!
Mythmaster takes a lot of inspiration from Runequest. Skills are based on Attributes which are determined by averaging Stats - making all attributes useful and preventing easy optimization.
After receiving several reports of a bug in v2.5.5 which prevented access to factions in the Character Generator, I have identified the issue and pushed a fix.
Mythmaster RPG version 2.5.5.1 is now live.

System specific is better. Most things don’t need to be explicitly converted and a good DM/Director can do it on the fly. If the deep details matter then captuuring them in a specific system and expecting conversion is better than just omitting them.

The update clarifies & simplifies many rules for high-level play based on recent playtests. Also lots of behind the scenes work to move baked html data to JS objects to pave the way for major improvements to the character generator.

The Quickstart ended up being too long to be ‘quick’ so my plan for the fall is to make another, quicker QuickStart and move the current ions into a new Adventures section of the site. I hope by next year to move out of Beta and into full production of adventure content.
Yes! The QuickStart Adventure is an urgent quest to contain a ghoul outbreak, but also a mystery about the imperial past of the region, family politics & secrets hidden for generations. Should be easily playable in other systems as well! #ttrpg

Bestiaries are a slippery slope. I ended up buying ALL 8(9?) Pathfinder bestiaries for my son over the years. He is now a living encyclopedia of imaginary monsters. It’s amazing.
No. That’s a multiplication. So if skill is 12, 3(Sk)h is 36 hexes or 4(Sk)h is 48 hexes.

I had a months long campaign, where one of the players was Fated To Die in an epic battle defending a city against a dragon, fall apart at the critical moment when the dragon crit failed its breath attack, choked, and then suffer multiple crits from other players and died. Was still epic though.
