Well-meaning friends ask, "Will you earn more money if I buy the book directly from you?" The answer is yes, but I still send them to their favorite lil' bookstore. Forging alliances with these venues will sell far more books that I can sell on my own (and I do get a royalty from those sales).

Even one or two sentences makes a difference. You have no idea how much that means.

Asked tonight about secerets of 42 year marriage:

4. Be a couple before anything else. Nothing good comes without you as a couple.
5. Do not lie, even if it is easier
6. Be kind.
It’s gonna take a day or three. I get new lenses every one or two years with minor changes & it takes a few hours. After 16 years? It’s gonna take a bit.
That said, if you’re still having trouble in a week, have them confirm that they made and fitted the lenses correctly. Mine made a mistake once.
