HECK YES Brian you found a treasure, those little guys look like fairy shrimp. They occur in ephemeral forest puddles in late winter. John Fleckenstein, retired DNR natural heritage scientist, studies these shrimp and he'd love to get all of your observation deets.

US scientists are forbidden to communicate with Canadian counterparts. Funds are frozen and research deleted on joint projects such as Great Lakes research.
Canada and France are both encouraging US scientists to apply for residency and research positions.

A blue angelfish swims in an aquarium crowded with plants.
A blue angelfish swims in an aquarium with rocks and a.ore reasonable amount of plants.
The dense aquarium jungle is pretty, but overdue for pruning. The only space for fish to swim freely was right up front. Hair algae was the last straw! After a brutal thinning it looks sparse but the fish are loving the space. Even the lone shrimp made an appearance. #aquarium #fishsky 🐠

A calico ranchu goldfish with pale eyes, poses with aquatic plants in the background.
This is Bean, she (?) is cheerful and has a can-do attitude. I got her to be a helper for another goldfish that had some physical problems. Bean was a top-notch nurse fish, but eventually the older fish died. Now Bean needs a buddy.
Projecting. When they're accusing, they're confessing.
Correct.
NEW: A searing editorial in the The Kyiv Independent.
“It’s time to say it plainly. America’s leadership has switched sides in the war. The American people have not, and they should speak up.
“A president just disrespected America in the Oval Office. It wasn’t Zelensky.”

@coffeedaily This was Monday Feb 24.
A waterfall plunges into a blue green pool on a desert landscape. A translucent pink, heart shaped "orb" seems to float over the scene.
Check out this beautiful waterfall and its resident Valentine Orb on Fossil Creek in Arizona. This is a tributary to the Verde River.
Fingertips hold a shiny green beetle that, miraculously, is also fuzzy.
Dorsal view of a punctate little bear scarab beetle, showing its striped elytra and fuzzy fringe.
Fuzzy underbelly of the punctate little bear scarab beetle.
We had a short trip to Arizona and my hub noticed this adorable, fuzzy scarab beetle. iNat suggests it is the "Punctate Little Bear Scarab Beetle". I'm a sucker for anything cute and fuzzy, even beetles.
Excellent!

He was not afraid when a 64-kilometre-long military convoy was moving toward Kyiv, when the Russians were advancing tens of kilometres a day, and when there was no help from the West or other countries.
Naive fools think that he will be afraid now.
The king has lost his crown.
🇺🇸🇺🇦 VoteVets stands with Ukraine.
Putin’s war isn’t just about Ukraine—it’s about global security. If we abandon Ukraine, US Troops could be the ones fighting next. Supporting Ukraine means defending democracy and keeping Americans safe.
We know what’s at stake. We won’t back down.
