A picture of an embroidered pterosaur, it's not of a specific species. I made this little guy when I was learning more modern dino anatomy, the front legs off (the joints are supposed to be backwards), making the little guy standing more like a dog than a real ptero whoops

Slowly, very slowly chipping away on my Aotearoa animals. I hope I kinda got this tree wētā right, I did my best 🤞🐡

Yeah, like, you could hire me! Weird animals! History! Disease! Death! Give it to me. I've been told I'm really good at drawing "disgusting" things 🙂‍↕️

Gave myself the challenge to draw 1 aotearoa animal per week when we came back and was already lagging behind last week, so I actually painted TWO yesterday! 😱

Wait, I forgot to show you! I actually painted THREE aotearoa animals last week! We saw these in the kiwi house at Te Puia!

And before I forget again - for this week's drawing my partner chose Hector's dolphin. We spotted these on a boat ride with Whale Watch Kaikōura. Would recommend, they are very open about measures they take to ensure minimum impact while also giving very good info about wildlife!

I've got a cold and I'm whiny, so here's a creature I saw on better days in New Plymouth.

70% of what I wanna do all the time is just make art of cool wildlife. The other 30% is reserved for funny skeletons and other dead things. 😂

Bc you know what? I'm actually quite capable and I know a ton of stuff and can do a lot of things! There's just no jobs and no money in those areas bc art, education and culture are always the first to be cut. And it makes me so angry.

Today is one of those days where I'm just really angry at capitalism in general and my government in particular bc they're making me feel shit about myself for not being able to earn money with all the things I can do.

Auch als Person, die sich einfach nur sehr für die Tierwelt interessiert und als Museumskommunikatorin versucht da Wissen zu vermitteln... es lässt mich ein bisschen verzweifeln.

Life was easier when I didn't care about football tbh 😅
