#NowSpinning The warm baritone sax tones of Serge Chaloff with Sonny Clark, Philly Joe Jones, and Leroy Vinnegar. Recorded in 1956, 2 weeks before Serge was diagnosed with spinal cancer that would take his life within the year.

Truth for both points! But I'll take that 37-16 yellow-top record.

#NowSpinning The great (and I mean, GREAT) LaPeste! So many sweat-filled nights at The Rat, Inn Square, Cantone's, and the Underground listening to this powerhouse trio. New unreleased studio and loft recordings plus other gems. #Boston #punk @lapeste76.bsky.social

tRump will blame an unnamed aide that won't be fired. Johnson will claim he never saw it. Leavitt will berate a reporter for asking about it. Maga will continue to worship their false prophet. Fuck all of them.

#NowSpinning Such a tender, forlorn, melancholy album from Frank. This release is a beauty. Crystal clear ringing in his voice. Brilliant balance with the band. Lovely remaster from Kevin Gray.

Working on a nerikomi piece inspired by Sir Terry Frost. This semester I'm starting each block with the same 4 colors then adding additional color as needed. Good challenge doing circle, circle in a square. #ceramics #pottery

Excellent form with lots of motion! Where the double handles on the inspiration piece? Maybe for some type of strapping? Love it.

It's time that the media stop referring to trump's $1.5bn request as for "defense spending". He has a Dept of War so the request is explicitly for "war spending". Let that play out in all the headlines.

We cut to ~ once a month for a few months but that wasn't sustainable. Now it's what you are doing and we are both pretty content. Tonic or sparkling water with a couple of dashes of bitters works as a replacement for us. We did a house-made bitters that tastes like Tanqueray so there's that. 🀣

Last night I stumbled onto the offering for Angine de Poitrine, Vol II (vinyl) and scooped it up. Who needs AI when you have Klek and Khn! #music

That other bloke is so good. JW Plays Bach (complete lute music on guitar) is a fave, as are Sky, 2, and 3.

Saw Paquito (far left) and his current band in AZ a couple of weeks ago. Hadn't seen him live since 1982.

I just said a similar thing to wifey today as we walked down Mass Ave in Cambridge and saw a place called Beantown coffee (or something like that) near MIT.
