It honestly feels like living through multiple episodes of Black Mirror at once.

My daughter fell in love with robots because one of the r2d2 makers at Maker Faire added a hand wave and bubble blower to theirs. This tiny addition has SUCH a big impact on little kids.

That also works. I still forget to use let Some()... else a lot.

Though, for the main function I would return an error so at least the return code in the shell indicates the error.

That still returns the error though. The original post asked for returning unit ().

Or maybe I misunderstood, and it's a pointer within self. But then I don't get how that would work with a view that tracks non-contiguous fields in memory.

I guess I'm a bit confused, due to the first paragraph in the "At runtime, this is still just a pointer" section of the original post smallcultfollowing.com/babysteps/bl.... If mem::swap still takes a single pointer to self, how does it know to only touch the messages field? 1/2

I would be surprised if the mem swap example would compile. I would expect that it fails because it doesn't have access to the other fields and instead recommends swapping mutable references of the fields instead.

I have been wanting this for years. I can't believe it's been around 7 years, and I've never heard of it before.

Does this mean you get refunds for all the tariffs you paid?

The California Assembly Bill 2047 document, tilted at a jaunty angle over the California Republic flag, conveniently blocking the bear... which is probably also on a state watchlist for having claws capable of subtractive manufacturing.

California's New Bill Requires DOJ-Approved 3D Printers That Report on Themselves

Your 3D printer needs to be on a DOJ-approved list or it can't be sold in California. Disabling the surveillance software? That's a misdemeanor. 🐻

I'm on the West coast, getting ready to head to the airport for a trip to Mexico. I absolutely had to deal with this in real time.

clawdbot is a security nightmare YouTube video by Low Level

I would suggest having people watch youtu.be/kSno1-xOjwI?... before using clawdbot/moltbot. It has a pretty severe design flaw from a security perspective.
