If you want to boil down John Browns message it isn’t “rebellion” it is “slavery is against gods laws and must be fought by any means necessary.“

It was not “vote against the chief executive who is a dang Cheeto”

They'll probably just change it once a year to be obstinate and watch Alberta slowly grow totally out of sync with the rest of Canada, but then slowly get back to the right time 24 years later.

Epstein did not kill himself. Period.

Putin is either visibly unwell, actively dying of disease, or recently dodged a coup/assassination, but didn't escape unscathed.

Gore/Lieberman won Florida in 2000, and various GOP operatives were handsomely rewarded for putting in the fix and making it stick.

Once libraries are nonexistent any modern fascist movement wouldn't even have to burn books, but flick one switch and they'd be remotely deleted from your Amazon Kindle or similar digital "library".

Capitalists are already building the infrastructure to do this through DRM, so stop believing tech is apolitical - the defunding of libraries and paywalling of information are all part of this.

A reminder during #NationalLibraryWeek, libraries are our best and last defense against the fascist monopoly on knowledge and information

The currently escalating tech backlash must be put in the context of:

“people have been listening to the most insufferable techbros in the world gleefully threaten everyone else with mass unemployment for over 6 years, and they’re sick of their shit”

eugenics is so baked into western society that we don’t even see it, and it literally takes people saying “somalis all have 70 IQs” for us to even notice, we’re so desensitized

one thing that bothers me with “lockdown” discourse is people talking about flying everywhere as if it’s critical for their mental health. Widespread international air travel is not something we can sustain going forward if we’re expecting to stave off extinction. Find a less destructive hobby

I wonder whether it has anything to do with the damage that repeated COVID infections do to the immune system. The article neglected to mention that as a possible factor. Real life @thev.bsky.social.

It's seems like every other day there's another Canadian service or institution being destroyed by the Liberals.
I really wish people would start paying attention.

Physicists refute famous 2025 study claiming daylight saving time poses severe health risks In 2025, Lara Weed and Jamie M. Zeitzer of Stanford University published an article linking the practice of seasonal time changes (Daylight Saving Time) to negative health outcomes, ranging from acute symptoms (heart attacks and strokes) to chronic conditions (obesity).

A recent analysis finds that previous claims linking daylight saving time to significant health risks are unsupported, citing critical methodological errors in the original study’s calculations. doi.org/hbxr57
