Absolutely brilliant interview on RNZ with Michael Pollan talking about his new book, on the subject of consciousness :)
[And yes, they do touch on #GenAI / #AI; thankfully, though, it doesn't suck all the conversational air out of things. They discuss much else too.]
Highly recommended!

[Even more important than homuch time you can(not) save with "AI"! :P]

(Not you. Them.)
Always be dancing :)
Earphones in and sashaying down the pavement, getting weird looks? Yes!
In your lounge doing pants off dance off and getting funny looks (from the doggo)? Yes!
Sitting in your office chair? Yes!
Happily on a couch / in bed under a blankie? Yes!
Etc etc etc :)
May the farce be with all of us :P
5 is too far!
This thread brings giggles :P
And the fjörds, because of all the fiddly bits :P
Like: was it actually a DDoS attack? Timing feels suspicious, given Jay essentially saying "we vibe code this platform".
The code is therefore shit. And so...do I have to draw a picture here?
Maybe don't use a chatbot to code your platform too.
It's asking for trouble, as it massively scales your attack surfaces.
Between this and Jay proudly announcing bisky is chatbot-coded, have I fallen into a fever dream?
It's not 1 April, right?!
:P
Married to Stephen. 'Nuff said.
Throwing it will unfold it anyway :P

Also, Lincoln really needs to look again at that URL. Um. Lust At isn't for everyone :P
So...I have an ability to modulate my voice such that it helps humans (and others) relax and sleep. I've tested it with a few people, and it works; keen for further testing.
If interested, DM me. Creepers unwelcome and immediately booted.
SO tired of humans trotting out the "love means never having to say you're sorry" toxic nonsense.
Er, nah. Diametrically incorrect. Actually, being alive and even _half_ decent means saying you're sorry when you, inevitably, fuck up. Whether up front or at a remove.
[This includes using genAI :P]
Photo of three men standing on top of rocky terrain. One is wearing a blue zip-up jacket with a blue chambray shirt and tan chinos. One is wearing a green-black checkered jacket with red chamois shirt, white pants, and cowboy hat. The other is wearing a blue parka with with blue jeans.
Two photos. In the first, three men are wearing bomber jackets with blue or white jeans. In the second image, one man is wearing an off white (possibly chamois?) shirt with blue jeans. Another is wearing a blue denim trucker with blue jeans. A third is wearing a blue quilted parka.
Two photos of groups of men. They are wearing Nordic sweaters, olive bomber jackets, flight suits, black-green checkered jackets, cowboy hats, beanies, and jeans.
Two photos. In one, there's a man wearing a brown tweed with a checked shirt. In the other photo, men are wearing bomber jackets and high-waisted cotton pants.
The Artemis II mission reminds me of these 1960s photos of NASA astronauts training in Iceland because they felt the terrain would be similar to what they'd encounter on the moon. The outfits are so great, even some 60 years later.
I am HERE for their sartorial stylings! :D
YES.
* gasp *
Quelle surprise!
Yeah, they're a frikkin' _menace_.
One of the problems with sharing shared paths is that walkers are often (as they have every right to do!) wearing noise-cancelling headphones/earbuds. Skoda has developed a bike bell using a frequency that gets through a gap in the noise-cancelling. Cool. www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDaV...
Oh, TOTES. Lords save us from armchair experts, eh.

Seven Sisters London Underground station
Seven Sisters London Underground station is named after a ring of 7 elm trees that were planted over 400 years ago.
The 7 trees have been replanted a number of times, always by 7 sisters. The current sisters are Hornbeam trees & were planted in 1997 by 5 families of 7 sisters.
