I was working. But I did have time to go see my wee pal Sylvester and sit with him for a while. ππββ¬

66 is no age. RIP
It reminds me a little of this;
I've listened to this dozens of times now.
It's *so* Boards of Canada; starts off crackly, slightly discordant then gradually a simple, beautiful minor key tune emerges. That last note in the chord sequence, it breaks your heart.

Post the best picture you have ever taken of your pet (if you feel like it):

You awake. It is 1972, a beach in Greece. The stars are twinkling. You are dancing by a fire pit to Aphrodite's Child's masterpiece 666 with a beautiful woman. Your only concern is that your kaftan is sandy.
Curly haired dog (might be a poodle, I don't know, I'm not its dad) stares at you from behind a sliding door. In addition there is a step ladder.

Americans, you need to do something to end this regime. The world can't go on like this.
It's not enough to march every 4 months with witty little signs. You need to stop complying with the state, do everything you can.
Agitate, educate, organise. Revolt.

If this is the last thing I post before the world ends I'm ok with that.
βI Go Down To The Shore I go down to the shore in the morning and depending on the hour the waves are rolling in or moving out, and I say, oh, I am miserable, what shallβ what should I do? And the sea says in its lovely voice: Excuse me, I have work to do.β β Mary Oliver, A Thousand Mornings: Poems

I love BoC but as I was listening to this I realised there's a deep sadness to their music. Like watching a beautiful sunset at the end of another disappointing summer.
This was on NTS last night. A one hour supporter-made show featuring rare and seldom heard tunes by Boards of Canada. It's very good.
"Some tricky pronunciations in this race, who shall we send for?"
I'd rather listen to it in Euskera.
Aye, fuck that. Camping's a young person's game.
Also: midges.
Aye, it's been a long, cold, lonely winter...
That's a shame.
But you see it around here. Only the wealthy can afford to come now. The hippies and free spirits have been replaced by the stockbrokers and gentry. Something's been lost.
Thanks Des. She's my pride and joy.
Aww.
Gone are the days when it was a cheap alternative to going abroad. Probably more expensive now. I wonder if greedy tourist companies are killing the goose, and this will be the year when folk just go nope. I mean, it's really quiet out there.
