560 PSG fans were arrested, 192 injured and 260 cars set on fire after they won the CL this summer. Worst football related violence in decades.
I wonder why Spurs aren’t banning their fans in November, nor Newcastle in January?
Matches that our brave boys in blue will somehow police this weekend, as fans travel in greater numbers with more needle than Maccabi:
Sat
Burnley v Leeds
Man City v Everton
QPR v Millwall
Leicester v Portsmouth
Bradford v Barnsley
Sun
Liverpool v Man United
No fans have behaved more violently, sung more racist chants than the British. For decades, fans have sung about gas chambers etc. CFC fans were not banned after years of violence and AS. Police routinely mobilise for far bigger supporter threat than Maccabi...

Music journalists: does anyone know who does press for the new Elias Rønnenfelt album please? Also, keen to hear Tame Impala LP before Friday release, but so far no dice.
Some artists I cannot shake. Others, I cannot find. Make music PR great again!

The first episode focuses on Oasis and how the band's rise kickstarted the decade! @msmirandasawyer.bsky.social and @tedkessler.bsky.social discuss the Britpop phenomenon. Take a listen ➡️ linktr.ee/talk90stome
Number 7 in The Sunday Times Bestsellers today…
That’s what our WhatsApp group is called. Glad you’re enjoying
Cheers, Ed. The only regret about the whole thing is subsequently discovering how many I’d have enjoyed bumping into, such as yourself
We were specifically talking - by WhatsApp- about the audience demographics at a Liam solo show. So, the age range present of preteens to pensioner fanatics, whole families. Beatles never afforded us that opportunity and not in similar evidence at solo Macca nor Stones. Also, a little flippant!
In a special edition of TNC, our man @tedkessler.bsky.social reports from night one of Oasis' comeback tour. You've probably read reviews of the show already but not like this one. Absolute carnage. thenewcue.substack.com/p/the-new-cu...
Superb by @dorianlynskey.bsky.social esp on Rod Stewart:
"Rod’s stage aesthetic is midway between Saturday night telly and an oligarch’s wedding. I don’t know if he’s about to announce the lottery numbers or dedicate You Wear It Well to the CEO of Gazprom."

I’m not saying ours is the best Oasis book. But that’s what MOJO Magazine has decided
Everyone! But especially Oasis and literature fans. We're putting on a party on Oasis Eve, July 3, to celebrate the publication that day of our book A Sound So Very Loud at @thesocial. Do come! Tix only £5 from newcue.co.uk.
I just finished reading To Ease My Troubled Mind: The Authorized Unauthorized History of Billy Childish by @tedkessler.bsky.social
A profoundly human work. I find myself sad that I have finished and the book is over. Even if you don’t know Billy’s art/music/writing, it is an inspiring read.
We're hosting some Oasis music quizzes in boozers this summer with the Sounds Familiar crew to promote our Oasis book. First two announced today, more to come:
11/6: Boogaloo London
9/7: Diego's, Liverpool

What do you wish the 18-year-old you knew?
"That there is time. That finding yourself is a gradual process. You've got time to learn things."
Robert Forster (@forsternet) takes on our Life & Times interview. It's a good'un, and it's free:

Great interview with Mick. Last night’s Shack gig in Manchester was a scorcher. So great to hear the Head Brothers’ voices weaving together their harmonies again. Next stop a full Waterpistol gig for its 50th?
