Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer is out amid allegations she used staff to plan personal trips, had an affair with a subordinate, and drank on the job.
Also on her watch: the US canceled grants that helped reduce child labor worldwide by 78 million people.
Some labor champion.

‘Fool me once, shame on—[pause]—shame on you. Fool me—[pause]—you can't get fooled again’ as one of his predecessors might say.
I thought he was kneeling

Must be terrifying for all the people who own $5m second homes. Dozens, maybe 100s 🙄
The answer to this is very simple. It was a joke. It had to be a number, an ordinary, smallish number, and I chose that one. Binary representations, base thirteen, Tibetan monks are all complete nonsense. I sat at my desk, stared into the garden and thought "42 will do" I typed it out. End of story.
Are you a woman in computer science looking for a way to destroy the patriarchy?
I have an assignment for you. Yell in my direction.
ICE has detained 6,200+ kids in Trump's second term, up 10x since Biden left office
Terrible damage to children is being done in our name.

screencap of a tweet with a photo at the bottom of JD Vance giving a talk, gesturing smugly with his hands Eric Daugherty • @EricLDaugh • 1h • JD VANCE RESPONDS TO POPE LEO: "When the Pope says that God is never on the side of those who wield the sword - there is more than a THOUSAND year tradition of Just war Theory." "In the same way that it's important for the vice president of the United States to be careful when I talk about matters of public policy, I think it's very, very important for the pope to be careful when he talks about matters of theology." "And I think that one of these issues here is that there has been - if you're going to opine on matters of theology, you've got to be careful, you've got to make sure it's anchored in the truth, and that's one of the things that I try to do, and it's certainly something I would expect from the clergy, whether they're Catholic or Protestant."
I’ve given this a great deal of thought, trying to come up with the perfect joke for this moment, and this is what I have so far -
POPE LEO: our religion teaches that this war is bad
VANCE: wow, who died and made YOU head of the Catholic Church??
POPE LEO: well, you should know, you were there
Threats she received or made?

No one should trust him and certainly not support him, but for me it’s worth amplifying in fighting and rats fleeing the sinking ship. See MGT, Tucker even Alex jones. Will never be on their side but with luck it persuades more people it’s built on sand.
South Korean President Lee Jae Myung:
The forced comfort women issue that we are raising is no different from the Jewish massacre or wartime killings.
The Lego videos are funny. The situation is not. A theocracy that blocks its own people's access to the internet is currently running circles around the United States in the information space of an active conflict. That does not happen by accident.
