Noticing when a plot twist or reveal is going to occur is good writing. Things should not happen out of the blue and good foreshadowing will let keen eyes discovers things before they happen. 🤷‍♂️

Imo Jasnah as her best scene in the series with the debate, but yeah it’s pretty short.
Shallan is also present a lot, but it does take a back seat to Rlain and Renarin
It was the best and only option, direct confrontation would be world ending
Take a look at “Following Nohadon: A Stormlight Podcast”.
I watched them for the whole cosmere, then stopped for Wind and Truth because they are taking their time and won’t finish it until August.
They’re great
I just finished WaT and I agree with some criticisms but how has it made u jaded by the whole series? IMO the ending and sanderlanche is still great from chapter 100 onwards.
Did u get to chapter 100? Couldn’t put it down after that
Epigraphs. You will always find more meaning in them coming back later.
U definitely should check them out, it is quality as well as quantity
It’s a hugely debated topic. Seems like 50/50 people say after HoA or after bands of mourning.
I think after HoA is better because the story is heavily tied into Era 1 plot points which u might not remember. It spoils stuff but I ended up loving era 2 more than most, there is really no downside imo
It’s in Iri. We haven’t seen it ever though. Lift is from there.
Imo stormlight is the best and the 2nd mistborn trilogy is better than the first. Although the latter is an unpopular opinion.
For me, I started with Stormlight, so it was easier to see the lesser (but still great) quality of Sanderson earlier works.

Testing moving my firehose collection and cosmere feed server to this little thing. Crazy this is able to process all posts from Bluesky in realtime, and be power efficient. #atproto #raspberrypi #rpi5

Let’s go
I agree that episode 4 feels off as it just completely drops the reintegration that was a huge cliff hanger and doesn’t make sense. Why does Mark just act normal in this episode?
I know u are trying to make the comparison, lol. It’s just not a valid comparison. Nothing in that picture is the same
Working on a text to speech PDF reader which plugs into any compatible high quality model. Importantly, to use with Kokoro-82M TTS.

Oooo
This, yes. If you miss the references it is not the end of the world as I keep trying to say.
If you want to get all the refs you can’t complain that you missed some cause you forgot or expecting an expo dumb. These references aren’t even that big a part of the story.
It still is standalone though. You don’t need to know who Azure is if you are just reading Stormlight.
If you want to see the entire bigger picture of the Cosmere story and not miss a thing then you need to read everything like it was all one big series.
I can see this. Azure is probably the most discrete of references. And only WoB confirm they are the same people. At some point I’m guessing there will be a more explicit reveal about that character though. Overall, I think it’s fine, but following a good reading order is also important
I get this but I think you are looking at it from a person who knows everything. I started with SA and when I came across these things I thought it was just a variation of some Roshar magic, once I got further I knew it was probably in another novel. The Qs I was left with encouraged me to read more
Bro Dawnshard is Stormlight. And if you haven’t read it you should know enough about the sleepless like they are a hive-mind. Haven’t finished Wind and Turth yet, but really don’t think this is such a huge problem as you are making it
What exactly are you so confused about?
Also I don’t know what you are talking about with the Sleepless. They only appear in Stormlight.
Seems like you’re on a completely different topic now. Not re-read.
In that case it’s fine if you miss stuff because you haven’t read those stories yet. Brandon does a good job explaining just enough of what you need to know. I don’t advise it, but some people have read Sunlit first, and enjoy it.
Don’t know what to tell you. Everything is pretty straightforward and definitely the same story.
The Coppermind coppermind.net is a wiki with huge amounts of info and everything is cited with page numbers.
Google is a lot easier than re-reading a 1200 page book
Brandon has said he was only comfortable making a shared universe like this was because of the Internet and it being super easy to find a book or chapter summary or look up something you don’t know.
