Temenos - the Greek word for sacred, holy, safe space and sanctuary, can look many different ways. It is the inspiration for my life’s work, beyond therapy. But in reference to TikTok, it was its own unique temenos, a haven, source of hope, and community. Its loss will be emotionally consequential.
Exactly this. As a depth therapist and PhD student of Depth Psych, the trendy stuff is even causing harm (presenting on that soon). Thank you for saying it!
