We came upon this snipe perched on top of a sign just as the rain slowed to a sprinkle. He sang a lovely song for us for a minute before he turned and flew off.

A bittern and golden winter grasses are reflected in still water. The bittern has one foot lifted as he carefully makes his way to not disturb the reflection.

Bittern paused perfectly reflected in the still waters. He moved so slow and precise as if he didn't want to disrupt the reflections either. Eventually though a tasty treat was found!
