I’m sure my 2 year old whom I’m raising would agree

Trying to get back to a regular writing routine. Here’s a fun post partially inspired by Zohran Mamdani’s excellent St. Patrick’s Day remarks

Working on a new post for Liberating Narratives, and I keep searching for specific speeches by Adolf Hitler. I’m wondering what these searches are doing to my algorithm. 😬

I’m in the US but traveling for work. I tried with a VPN and still got the error. It just says I’m not eligible. No explanation why.
These two descriptions capture everything about how these events were presented in 50s compared to how we view them now
Just saw an excellent exhibition at the Imperial War Museum in London

Great news! I also just tried to redeem the 1 year offer. I canceled my monthly subscription, but I keep getting told that I can’t redeem the offer. I’m also in London at the moment, so that might be the issue
@getskyscraper.com Loving the new app. Is there a way to easily view lists I’ve made?
I just downloaded Skyscraper, and I feel the exact same way as the original poster. This is definitely the most polished iOS and iPadOS app out there! Using the Bluesky app on a 13” iPad Pro was no fun.
It depends. Are you just telling stories from the textbook you read or are you working with different sources to interpret the past? I’m guessing most teachers aren’t trying to do the second. The ones interpreting are definitely historians. I’m a little biased on this one 😉
Heading to Chicago for AHA 2026. Who else is going?

I love this new Ted-Ed video on Tokugawa Edo. It’s a fun resource blending an understanding of how the Tokugawa economy worked and the way Japanese culture synthesized different ideas.

Great article for showing how African consumers influenced the late 19th century global economy. A good length to use with students.

I wrote about using chess to teach about pre-modern Afroeurasian exchange. Chess is a fun way to teach about exchange routes from a global perspective. There’s lots of visual primary sources as well.

I appreciated this post. It’s thoughtful and reflects on what makes the iPad Pro special for travel. One thing I always mention to folks is the benefit of having built in esim when traveling in the developing world and often having poor wifi connections.
My daughter ran up to this car today and asked about the sticker. ✊🏽✊🏿✊🏼✊️✊🏾
Good article about underwater archaeology and Chinese maritime trade.

It’s surprising how often I still hear people mention Columbus “discovering” the Americas. Here’s my reply.
