It’s very easy for politicians to say “we’d do this, we’d do that”… it needs to be properly scrutinised by those who will be expected to do the “this and that”, and aired in public. Even the best briefed moderator can’t have the system level knowledge around why the rhetoric won’t work in practice.

It would be interesting for one pre-election debate show if, instead of the general public, the audience was made up of sector leaders to ask questions of politicians, and challenge the answer- NHS CEOs, Directors of Education, Directors of Social Care, and Local Authority leaders. #YourVoice #BBCQT
