Thrilled to announce the launch of my lab
@cri-utsw.bsky.social at UTSW this January!
We will explore how cells sense and respond to mechanical forces, focusing on membrane mechanics to reveal how tension and signaling work together to shape cell behavior.
Finally, someone has solved a real problem with AI! No more having to take a paper in the format for a journal that rejected you, and reformat it for a new journal. Well done!! formatmypaper.com
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT📣: I haven’t been this excited to be part of something new in 15 years… Thrilled to reveal the passion project I’ve been working on for the past year and a half!🙀🥳 (thread 👇)
I‘m trying it as I write here! So far really good, thank you! Gonna spread the word!
We're now recruiting early career group leaders at the Crick to lead ambitious research programmes and explore bold scientific questions.
Hear our Director, Edith Heard, explain why the Crick is a unique place for curiosity-driven research.

Pretty cool. We use DNA sensors with B cells and sometimes T cells…makes me wonder if this has also an implication for using those 🤔

Wow 🤩
We present multi-immersion Oblique Plane microscope (miOPM), a light-sheet platform that can be adapted to a wide range of applications, from sensitive live cell imaging to imaging organs and cleared tissues.

#Micorscopy community, does anyone know where I can order this type of bottle from? Or even what the proper name is for them?
Looking forward to do more 🤩 !!!! Thank you 🙇♀️
Our new paper, in collaboration with Bristol Myers Squibb, on a Natural Killer cell immune therapy, is just published here:

Beautiful work, big congratulations!
Check out this excellent paper from Khodor Hazime and @dandavis101.bsky.social! It's got NK cells, it's got engagers, plus super-resolution microscopy!
😱😱😱😱😱
You are amazing, Milena! 100 % well deserved 🙇♀️ 🥳
'Novartis is buying the rights to potential cardiovascular medicines from a Chinese biotech in a deal worth up to $5.2bn, as big pharmaceutical companies become increasingly reliant on Chinese innovation to replenish their drug pipelines.'
Congratulations, wonderful to see it out is such a great form, bravo 👏 Fantastic work!
Thank you
Out today in @nature.com: Together with the Honigmann, Shevchenko, Drobot and Hof labs, we present a general workflow for imaging the localization and transport of individual lipids in cells and mapping their metabolism.

This is such a great work! Congratulations to everyone 🥳🥳🥳
Anxiety, the only thing I can always count on ☺️
🙏
I love servers and love rules. But I’m also not as busy as you and don’t have a lab to run.

True that perhaps, but then those rules are pointless. And also I think it’s strange getting rid of your data or even worse storing them only on hard drive. Too much anxiety for me! Or maybe I just take rules too seriously? 😳
I thought it’s required to keep the data for 10 years. Oh how naive I am! I still keep my PhD stuff and I’m sure they are stored at CBG as well 🙄
✨We’ve just launched our new guide to #vaccinations during #pregnancy!
Understand how immunity changes, which vaccines the NHS recommends, and how they protect both parent and baby during pregnancy and beyond.
