Don’t underestimate the impact you’re making when you choose to wear a mask.
You’re protecting your health & the health of your community. You’re helping ease the burden on our healthcare system.
You’re standing in solidarity with disabled people & telling the government that no one is expendable
We just saw that my gf’s yogurt lists cultured milk, not cultured pasteurized milk. Does that mean it’s raw? Bird flu is huge in California right now and we don’t want bird flu raw food. I don’t eat dairy and know nothing about it. Is there pasteurized yogurt and how do we know?
This is great and thank you! I was really thinking the sickness aspect was Covid.
May I ask if our brilliant Covid conscious community has any ideas about the weird, chemical smelling fog with snow-looking bits that’s being reported globally?
I have the most loving and wonderful partner in the world who is very Covid conscious. Her kids are in online school now. But in 4 years they will start going to college and we can’t keep them home forever.
Are people just masking 24/7? How do you maintain the relationships with your spouses?
Brilliant immunocompromised people: what are we all doing with kids who need to go to in person college and live at home? How are we surviving and holding off on further disabilities? Are we giving up and just going with it? Please offer suggestions.
Most people don’t know that:
In a room w/ poor ventilation, COVID hangs in the air for HOURS after an infected person has left
You can get infected after only SECONDS of breathing in air that contains the SARS-CoV-2 virus
This is why masks & HEPA filtration are necessary tools to prevent COVID
No one is an exception to becoming disabled. No one is immune to disability. Your health is not a guarantee. Even when you age, disability is almost inevitable at some point. Advocating for disabled people is advocating for your inevitable future.
Shit
Thank you for this!
Dear Covid conscious brilliant people, may I ask if anyone knows anything about the efficacy of this? Especially in combination with a respirator? respiray.com/bf3/
If you think you might have Covid - or you’re just feeling sick - stay home this holiday season. Don’t be the reason someone’s loved one ends up in the hospital (or worse).
If you absolutely can’t stay home - wear a well fitted respirator. You could save a life.
Not sure at what point I should see a doctor. The injury is so mild but it’s not healing. And I don’t love going to unmasked medical care.
Having to rest my foot for 1.5 weeks w the toe injury sucks for many reasons, among them I can feel my chronic illness deteriorating my leg muscles if I don’t use them. But I figured out I can move the foot strap on my stationary bike & peddle with my heal rather than my toes💜
Followed up by, my mom, knowing I’m on a stronger immunosuppressant: Will you eat Xmas dinner with us?
Me: we still don’t share air with anyone.
My mom, after telling me about her vacation: we haven’t been anywhere.
Me: …
My mom: why do you wear a mask on walks outside? There’s no one around.
Me: we live in the middle of a city. It can transmit in seconds of interaction.
Her: there’s not really much Covid going around anymore. You have a higher chance of being struck by lightning.
Me: …
Turns out toe injuries are not fun
Just people in LA killing off their cats by giving them raw milk. Bird flu has a very high death rate in cats. 😡 www.modbee.com/news/califor...
Oh nice thank you!!
Is it alcohol intolerance following my Covid infection in March 2020 or is it getting a little older with a serious autoimmune disease?
What if everyone had masked up? Analysis of app data has an answer Modelling study based on almost 250,000 positive COVID-19 tests in the United Kingdom shows that universal masking could have cut transmission markedly.
What would have happened if everyone in the United Kingdom had worn high-grade masks during the COVID-19 pandemic? A modelling study1 has estimated just how sharply transmission might have dropped. Determining the effect of masks on viral transmission is difficult, and most studies so far have been affected by limitations such as small sample sizes. To overcome this issue, Richard Sear at the University of Surrey, UK, developed a model of transmission using data from the UK National Health Service COVID-19 app. The app, which ran on mobile phones between 2020 and 2023, logged information about infections and the length of time users came into contact with each other. Sear built on a previously published analysis2 of 240,000 positive COVID-19 tests and 7 million contacts — instances in which app users were notified that they had been exposed to the virus. He estimated that if everyone in the United Kingdom had worn N95 or FFP2 masks — both highly effective at filtering particles — the rate of COVID-19 transmission would have dropped by a factor of 9.
New modeling study finds that if everyone in the United Kingdom had worn N95 or FFP2 masks from the start of the pandemic, the rate of COVID-19 transmission would have been 9 times lower.

Covid conscious beautiful community, may I ask for recommendations on N95s for jogging?
Does anyone know how to tell if and when the carrot recall is over?
