I'll just add for anyone else reading this, the bill enabling this redistricting said that redistricting would only occur if another state did mid cycle redistricting. So had red states not gone forward, Virginia wouldn't have either.

It's not good per se, but im guessing that a majority of Virginians will find it a necessary action.
