Agreed, though I've found 14" to be more common (at least in the PC world) and a nice balance.
My work-issued laptop is 15" and it's horrendous.

Cool your jets, man.
Built a few new features in Navio yesterday, including being able to filter out major chains from the stop recommendations, or being able to prioritize your favorite chain.
Give it a spin: mynavio.com
It'll be 4yrs for me in August.
Still sucks, if I'm honest about it. I miss whiskey. A lot.
But I'd also like to meet my grandkids, if possible, so I'm telling myself it'll be worth it.
They'd better not be little shits.
Damn professionals.

The Lede does "saves" differently. Tap the bookmark icon to get three choices to send an item to "your desk".
These items will pop back up in your feed periodically via a "nudge" - a gentle reminder to do something.
Test it out, let me know what you think. thelede.info
Made the call a while ago that I won’t be writing much about the series itself, but it was important to spell things out now that Warner Bros. is cranking the hype machine up
The *only* positive I can see from this whole Strait of Hormuz fiasco is that it *could* theoretically, jump-start the renewable resources drive.
Of course, that requires logic and critical thinking to prevail, which is questionable, but it would be nice, wouldn't it?
Someone needs to figure out to let consumers update all of the media targeting solutions at the same time.
I WAS shopping for a mattress. I bought one, but will now see/get ads (including from the people I bought it from, apparently) for the next 6 months. What a waste of ad $$.
Headed in to ~7hrs of continuous volleyball spectating along with what appears to be a billion other people in downtown Atlanta.
Shipped a new feature this morning - Kill the Noise.
Automatically filters out any item from your feeds that contain one of your chosen keywords.

Shipped a few new features on The Lede this morning before work. Mostly backend that none of you care about, but I think is cool.
Also changed to an invites-based system. Every new user gets 5 invites to hand out to friends.
I'd love you to give it a spin: thelede.info
My coffee is gone before I was done with it. :(
It's astounding to see them out actually defending this "feature", as opposed to apologizing and walking it back.
I've already uninstalled and deleted my account, but it's still crazy to me.
Crazy!
@msjen.bsky.social do you remember when we tried to build an app together, like, three lifetimes ago!? And how completely useless I was at it?
invite code is "THISISAWESOME"
I've been working on improving The Lede, my new RSS reader/news aggregator. It looks much nicer, has an AI-driven source searching functionality, and you can now submit feedback directly within the app.
I'd love for you to try it out and let me know what you think.

I don't understand the upside-down-words-on-your-hat thing.
Can anyone explain it to me?
The invite code is "THISISAWESOME"
Over the past week or so, I've been working on a new project that I'm excited to unveil - it's called "The Lede" and it's an RSS reader/news aggregator that pulls in social posts and has a few AI integrations.
It's still a WIP, but I'd love for you to give it a spin.

How are car dealerships still so bad at internet sales, in 2026?
Filled out a form on their own website, inquiring about a specific vehicle.
I've gotten *FIVE* responses, each from a DIFFERENT sales person. And each response was wildly different - one included a VIDEO?
it's kind of irritating how much Google just let Amazon "have" the low-end of the Android tablet market, without really putting up a fight.
Yeah, I just picked up an 8.9" Galaxy Tab A9 and it's perfect (IMO). I also don't do the "phablets" as Stefan used to call them - always the smallest phone I can get (GS25 at the moment).
The Android tablet space is pretty bare, tbh, unless you want to blow $600+
You know what I miss?
The Google Nexus 7 tablet.
Affordable, small (yet bigger than a phone), pure Android.
We need a Pixel Tablet 8 for $200, 8-9" display.
It's easy to find the flight to Asheville - look for a gathering of senior citizens and hippies wearing Teva sandals, lol.
Forgot how much it sucks to fly out of DFW.
Thus far, my flight has been at C11, B23, D22, and now B18
