Go see the movie if you haven't already and form your own opinion on it instead of listening to miserable internet users and overreacting movie critics. Every piece of media is subjective and there is no definitive way of how anything should be enjoyed. (8/8)

-and movie critics are acting like it's an abomination to the movie industry, when trust me there are infinitely WAY worse video game movie adaptations. The 1993 live-action Mario movie is right there. (7/8)

Overall I give it an 8.5/10. I would honestly call it a "great kind of mid", but I think it's even greater than that definition. It's just a simple and fun spectacle of an adventure. It's sad social media users, even ones I happen to follow that I like- (6/8)

⚠️⚠️GETTING INTO SPOILER TERRITORY AHEAD, my only real gripes are that I wish Fox interacted with the brothers a bit more and the movie had another DK scene aside from the Yoshi in Brooklyn montage. (5/8)

-though I can see fans' gripes with it not getting enough representation. I will admit though actual Mario fans will probably get more out of it than people from general audiences, like a Gen X-er that played the first few NES-era games and never another one ever again. (4/8)

I didn't mind all the references and the plot felt decently paced for me. Also an unpopular opinion, I actually think it not being directly based on Galaxy made it even more fun (Miyamoto even said it's the main event of the Mario franchises' 40th anniversary)- (3/8)

I do wish some scenes and characters could've been more fleshed out, but I still love the movie for what it is. The plot is simple but it still manages to be thrilling because of the choreography and intense action. (2/8)

After a couple of days after seeing it in theaters, I've formed my own definitive opinion on the new Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and that it's an awesome and fun experience from start to finish. Sure, it definitely has a few flaws. (1/8, 5th one has spoilers!)

It definitely had flaws here and there, moments and characters could've used a bit of developing, but that didn't retract it from being an awesome spectacle. It's just simple fun and not supposed to be a groundbreaking story or anything. I would call it as a "good kind of mid".
