Any time someone characterizes "politics" as something different and separate from morality, I assume the person is attempting to justify their own hypocrisy. Politics are how people effectuate their true values through government. To suggest, politics and values/morality are separate is not true.

We got Mike "the Evangelical's Evangelical" Johnson from Baptist Louisiana out here citing Catholic just war doctrine in opposition to Isaiah with the conviction of a man who did not do the assigned reading.

Putting aside whatever just war doctrine may be for Catholics, it is very entertaining to watch Republican Catholics and (especially) Protestants alike struggle when confronted with the actual words of their holy scripture. It's a conversation that needs to happen every day.
