It's not an accident when the driver is not aware. It is negligence. The whole point was a mother crossing with the light at a crossing (and the law on her side) and a driver not yielding adequately. The shared responsibility argument is a way to avoid accountability.

A pile of snow, shoveled off a Brooklyn sidewalk, and piled into a tree pit. The top of the pile of snow is festooned with four bear faces. BUT NO BEAR BODIES! and the eyes and noses are actually Pennies because that was all I had.
All the faces ended up on my snow shoveling pile! I found the faces!
I ran into a neighbor, who also volunteers for the #BergenBikeBus, shoveling the crosswalks to sidewalk path not once, but twice! Meaning he and I were outside on multiple occasions, clearing the snow that no one else will touch.
Didn't get paid, but wish it were a given that it would be done.
