I always find it highly suspicious when an anonymous black SUV parks in front of my house.

Ah, that's too bad. BTW, did you ever see "War of the Gargantua?"
You watching the American version, where Kong wins, or the Japanese version, where Godzilla wins?
The 28th Virginia battle flag is a Confederate battle flag that belonged to the 28th Virginia Infantry Regiment. Captured by the 1st Minnesota Infantry Regiment at the Battle of Gettysburg, the flag was brought to Minnesota and exhibited at the state's capitol for several years before passing into the permanent collection of the Minnesota Historical Society after 1896 where it has remained since.
Happy Confederate Surrender Day from Minnesota where we still have your goddamn flag and we’re not giving it up.

We need someone in the center of the Venn diagram of:

WILLINGNESS TO ACT +
ABILITY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
Not seeing it out there.
[alt text by NASA] The Moon, seen here backlit by the Sun during a solar eclipse on April 6, 2026, is photographed by one of the cameras on the Orion spacecraft’s solar array wings. Orion is visible in the foreground on the left. Earth is reflecting sunlight at the left edge of the Moon, which is slightly brighter than the rest of the disk. The bright spot visible just below the Moon’s bottom right edge is Saturn. Beyond that, the bright spot at the right edge of the image is Mars. Credit: NASA
Whoa 🤯
The Moon, in full eclipse, with the #Artemis II Orion spacecraft. Part of the Moon and spacecraft are lit by Earthshine, and both Saturn and Mars are visible to the lower right. Incredible. Details: images.nasa.gov/details/art0...
The White House Correspondents Association is planning to "honor" Trump at its dinner three weeks from now.
No way.
It was egregious before. Now it's obscene.
Further, I suspect that a great many people in the US and globally are expecting, even counting on, Trump to find some reason to push off the "deadline" for another week or two, or find some way to declare victory.
This moment is so utterly without precedent that I suspect many global organizations and leaders are waiting to respond because they simply cannot believe that it is happening. Call it "suspension of belief" -- an unwillingness to accept the reality we see because it is so absurd and out-of-bounds.
(I’m still waking up, and I misread “bran” as “brain,” leaving me confused and a little worried.)
Apropos of nothing. Honest.

Apparently it's the company that makes the candy-coated almonds ("Jordan Almonds" apparently) that seem pretty common. Never knew the company name, but the candy itself is familiar.
This worship of efficiency kills creativity. Every transcript I have, every piece of research, I go over again & again, looking for detail, pattern, illuminating anecdote. It’s not efficient. I flail sometimes! But it’s essential. It’s how I learn to tell the story to myself, so I can tell it to you
It's hard to be hopeful right now, everything is a mess. But seeing the Artemis II launch successfully is surprisingly emotional for me. I really want this to work.
I'm old enough to have seen Challenger explode, and the tension I feel during the first few minutes of launch never really goes away.
Big hugs to all of my trans friends on today's Trans Day of Visibility! I see you and am very happy to know you.
Omg. Is this what's wrong with me?
It's like " What if the ' Jerky Boys ' became president ? '
Her horrified reaction is kind of hilarious (especially given how awful she is).
What the fuck?
When the dementia really becomes impossible to hide, how likely is it that we'll see (at least attempts at) the use of deepfake videos to Weekend At Bernie's him while they have knife-fights behind the scenes?
Ah. I'm not eating junk food, I'm collapsing the snack wave function.

It certainly would demonstrate his Al Gore Rhythm.

Take an hour out of your day to listen to this Newsweek interview with @edzitron.com. His indignant energy is captivating, and his insights into why the "AI" industry is absolutely fucked are compelling.
Plus, he does a surprisingly good DJT impression.
