I am just a simple Vancouverite in the springtime this year, and I will absolutely not apologize for it.

I’d be curious sidewalk width is like in some of those same places. Maybe we would feel less anxious about having transit be almost door-to-door for some key destinations if particularly vulnerable people felt safer traversing longer distances on the sidewalks due to volume, obstructions, etc.

Due to myriad reasons, women move through the city much differently than men.

Yes, I was deducing from my gr 1 Chinese school knowledge. But having the character you can copy and paste means you can find it in Wiktionary to see how it’s integrated into other phrases. This is a big part of a project I have for connecting with my nephew hence being a little extra with it lol

Since I had a longtime friend who did metalworking it occurred to me there may have been some limitations/workarounds that misled me on the calligraphic elements. I was able to find 夀, an alternate way of writing 寿, which Pleco says is used in various pairings to denote long life and old age.

It bears some similarity to the character labelled “health” on this Chinese jewelry dealer’s page: www.masonkay.com/chinese-char...

I wasn’t able to find the character itself in Pleco (my usual dictionary app) so it might be a regional / historic rendering of a word that looks different now.
