True, but it would still seem ridiculous, given that I'm a British citizen who last lived in Sydney 20 years ago and my elevation to the House of Lords would be to serve this country and its people.

Hell, I'm baffled as to why Lebedev is allowed to be "of Hampton and Siberia". In the unlikely event of me being appointed to the House of Lords, I wouldn't be Baroness Lewis of Sydney. It's ridiculous.

Happy Wednesday to everyone except the deadbeat dad who hid in the sauna every time his kid behaved like an arsehole in the hotel pool.

Before Chris Philp starts wringing his slimy little hands about Waitrose firing an employee for tackling a shoplifter (for which there are perfectly sound reasons...), it would behoove him to think about what government was in power when shoplifting started to rise and why that might have happened.

An important update about Best for Britain’s future work By Cal Roscow

Best for Britain, the most strategic of the pro-Europe organisations, asking supporters to push for a more radical approach from the government. There's a real feeling now that the wind is in our sails open.substack.com/pub/bestforb...

If you stop serving food at 7:30pm, don't whinge it you go out of business.

Yours sincerely,

A hungry Georgia

I've been a bit quiet in here because I've been roadtripping in Australia for my 50th birthday!

Also l, compulsory voting makes a huge difference in Australia. The UK should give it a go...

Yep. I'm a dual citizen, but this makes me proud of the Australian half. Here's hoping tomorrow's state election in South Australia continues this proud tradition.

I was pleasantly surprised that Scotland held their own! I've got more family in Scotland on Mum's side than I do in Australia.

It's absolutely ridiculous. Put a picture of a belly dancer jumping on a trampoline over a lawn sprinkler on all notes for all I care.
