As always, great newsletter! In my opinion, the WissZeitVG should be cancelled. Instead the @BMBF should concentrate on reforming Universities as a whole and create more long-term jobs other than Professorships, like lecturers and staff scientists. It works in many other countries, why not Germany?

Question: we always hear from Unis that there is no money for unlimited contracts. Is this actually true? If it is true, would a new WissZeitVG including a quota for fixed contract actually work alone, without fully restructuring the funding structure of Unis?
