You're doing good work

Tragic that this site was conceived by libertarians and build with crypto tech, but if someone were to advocate for libertarianism and crypto on here the userbase would want them sent to a work camp or something

yeah give him a few million and he probably won't be so interested in the DMCAs...but until then "fuck you pay me" is justified lol

this is less than 0.1% of supply

of his own IP

that's insane lol, there's a wallet cluster sitting with 2.5%

yesterday: can't view Twitter logged out

today: can't view Twitter logged in

tomorrow: they put a tarp over the building so you can't view it even if you're standing right in front of it

isn't it absurdly easy to detect scraping bots and range ban them

this makes zero sense

just don't look (mute/block)

eventually they will probably congregate on a few servers that can be added to a label set so someone else can block them all for you

i understand this perception

but

i think it is partially a result of social media algorithms amplifying controversial posts + self promoters

the good people are busy coding and post stuff like this for 3 likes

easier said than done

eg people hated Yglesias over stuff he said elsewhere. I had to watch a YouTube video to figure out what he did wrong

team doesn't have time to do off-platform research. if there's no post to report then it becomes fairly arbitrary

people talk about kids getting too much screen time

but 90% of people who have ever lived would think technology is just humanity discovering literal magic

you DON'T want your kid using magic???

currently the disclosures (if they happen) are almost always buried in a way where users need to click through to a profile/thread/description to even see they exist

Should be an unmissable flag next to the post

now is the perfect time to bully @aoc.bsky.social into introducing legislation that mandates social media platforms have to build a tagging system where users self-flag their posts as paid political/product endorsements

FTC and FEC have totally dropped the ball here

it scales by them paying increasingly less attention to the context and scrolling through the reports inbox making snap judgements on whether something sounds like a threat
