AMEN, SISTER!

Definitely! There’s absolutely a strong conservative element to the music and many of the musicians but also a badass protest and pro-union vein running through things. Hazel Dickens, anyone?
All the Water in the World by Eiren Caffal was my favorite from last year. It’s a climate change slow-adventure with two young sisters as main characters. For thrillers, First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston was a good one from a couple of years ago. Enjoy! #LibrariesRule
A bleeding heart plant. Green leaves frame brand new pink and white flowers in the center of the photo. Each blossom consists of a pink puffy heart-shaped upper part with two pink and white teardrop shaped protrusions dangling from them. The blossoms are lined up along and dangling below the stem. These blossoms are brand new, having just appeared in the past 24 hours.
Spring!! Two days of 85° weather has things blooming in New England.
Yeah, really crummy move on Amazon’s part. 😒
I THINK the app will still work. I accessed NetGalley titles through the Kindle app long before I actually owned a Kindle…
Waylon’s heated bed is making him too warm, so he’s stuck out his Temperature Control Leg
Same!

I’m rationing these like nobody’s business! Six is up next for me but I’m trying to hold off. They are my comfort listen!
A woman on the side of the road wearing an american flag-themed cardigan holds a sign that reads 'SAVE DEMOCRACY'
After I shot this photo of Stephanie Tubbs at the #NoKings rally in Hattiesburg, I asked for her name.
She hesitated, worried about how her family would react. "No problem," I told her, "We don't have to use your name."
She paused.
"Fuck it," she said, drawing cheers from the women around her.

An amazing set from Trey Hensley at the #BackPorchFestival @signaturesounds.bsky.social in #Northampton today!
Such great books!!
This was BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for giving your dogs this trip and for letting us come along. 🐾
I just rescued the first one of the year from the parking lot!
Southern Berks (Lenox & South) are more touristy and more expensive; Northern Berks (Pittsfield & north) are a bit less so. The entire area has amazing arts of all kinds in lovely hikes for any ability. Highlights include: MassMOCA, Tanglewood, Monument Mountain, Ice Glen in Stockbridge. 😁
Printing these out to leave for my patrons!
We still call them The Greenskis 😁
Great song! Summerfly is actually written by a spectacular singer songwriter from New England, Cheryl Wheeler. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing her live many times over the years.
All of those already mentioned, plus: The Legendborn trilogy by Tracy Deonn is a great modern retelling, the Lost Queen trilogy by Signe Pike goes just a bit off the usual to tell the story of a 6th century Scottish queen and twin sister of Merlin, and Child of the Northern Spring by Persia Wooley
Life is both way too short and way too long to slog through books you don’t enjoy! 😊
How ‘bout we don’t fund them ever because it’s a corrupt organization that can’t be reformed?
Music always leads the heart toward home!
She WAS! For just long enough to take these photos! 😆
Leg warmers made with no pattern.
Bear pattern was “Baby bears (FT 201)” from Fiber Trends
No idea on yarns 🧶
A grey cat with white paws named Shadow wears purple leg warmers on her front legs. They are edged in white lace at top and bottom. She has one leg raised and is smelling the top of that leg warmer, as if trying to figure out why I’ve done this to her.

A close up of a grey cat’s white toes and lower front legs. The bottom of her leg warmers can be seen.
A small knitted teddy bear stands against a white background. He has been knit flat and then stitched together and felted before being lightly stuffed. He is soft brown with white speckles throughout and has a friendly face stitched in black. He sports a long jaunty variegated blur and black scarf that reaches almost to his toes.
#ShowMeYourKnits Animals! One knitted bear and one set of leg warmers knit for an unwilling cat. 🐱
Or a stabilizer for pompoms?
Bluegrass musician Del McCoury plays guitar and sings on stage at the Joe Val Bluegrass Festival. Bass player Alan Bartram and mandolin player Ronnie McCoury are to his right. Behind them is a sign for the festival.
Still on a high from today at Joe Val Bluegrass Festival - Watched 87 year old Del McCoury and his band lay down a 2-hour masterclass of a set that could rival that of anyone out there in any genre. #DelYeah
The Democrats idea of fighting fascism.
Do not take Bluegrassica if you are allergic to Bluegrassica.
Our digital thermometer read -0 this morning, which may be even less of a temperature than no temperature?
