We are still in green up in many places, including the hills (some curing evident) but this serves as a warning to prepare for an early fire season.

Out of a total of 571 RAWS sites in NorCal, 57 stations are nearly at red flag criteria, while another 12, below, in the Mayacamas Mountains, are in RF criteria. The fuel moistures are very high, so fire threat is very low. Still, offshore wind is an equalizer of sorts.
