I can confirm, this is how it works!

If nothing else helps, I use an Azelastin-Hydrochloride nasal spray (right now the neighbours hazel trees are blooming in front of our bed room window). In my case it causes some nasal burning but that’s a small price to pay for the ability to breathe. Best thing I’ve come across so far!
