as someone who is a hater, i accept and welcome the fact that i have haters. what is good for the goose, etc. in fact, i think people in this business should be more open about their hating. if we think our words matter, then we should feel some kind of way about people who do bad work.

Got a story out today about something I’ve been fascinated by for years: From Atlanta hip hop to Bama RushTok, here’s how and why the South has taken such a firm grip on modern American culture. Gift link: www.bloomberg.com/news/feature...
Germany’s new willingness to lead Europe’s anti-immigration front removes one key obstacle preventing European countries from enacting policy proposals that were until recently deemed beyond the pale. Those include plans to deport migrants to third countries and to process asylum claims outside the EU, copying the U.K.’s failed Rwanda scheme, which Merz previously praised as “something we could emulate.”
Absolutely revolting that this is becoming normalized as a policy

• Wagner will issue a public statement to the college community stating that it will comply with Title IX, specifying that Title IX forbids Wagner from allowing male students to compete in female athletic programs and from occupying female intimate facilities;
Most people can’t quite grasp how it feels to read this, but imagine if the federal government commanded every agency to form task forces charged with finding new ways to humiliate you. Then imagine every institution in your life not only folds but starts participating.

85% of Gaza’s population have entered the "fifth stage" of malnutrition — the most critical and dangerous phase, which is often irreversible even if food becomes available in the future.
I think this is the most horrifying post I have ever read.
the funniest thing you could ever do is let your presidency hinge on “i have never doodled” when THIS exists
i have got to hand it to him, donald trump specifically being a well-established lover of doodles is the funniest way he has ever publicly bullshitted us

Some personal news. I'm writing a history of the goddamn patriarchy.
Picture of the American civil liberties Union flyer and black saying we are the American civil liberties Union and we're not moving to Canada
This is what my wife, my 9 year old son, and I see as we go through the door to the garage to start our day. It's our reminder to never back down, never stop fighting.
Day one.
to quote the great Nancy Pelosi, “this is not an attempt to ban TikTok, it’s an attempt to make TikTok better. Tic-tac-toe: a winner. A winner.”
I'm glad they banned TikTok so I can share my data exclusively with American tech perverts
I am almost 37 years old, it is obscene that I have to spend this much time worrying about the computer
Messed up that I spent years gaining 50 million followers on TikTok and now I have no proof that account ever existed
New year, new platform, same ACLU.
We’ve got a busy year ahead of us — and we’re ready.
I've done full headshot sessions with less usable pictures than Luigi Mangione being perp walked

Throwing trans people under the bus is really fucking ugly look no matter who you are.
ladygaga It's appalling to me that a post about National Women's Day by Dylan Mulvaney and me would be met with such vitriol and hatred. When I see a newspaper reporting on hatred but calling it "backlash" I feel it is important to clarify that hatred is hatred, and this kind of hatred is violence. "Backlash" would imply that people who love or respect Dylan and me didn't like something we did. This is not backlash. This is hatred. But it is not surprising given the immense work that it's obvious we still have to do as a society to make room for transgender lives to be cherished and upheld by all of us. I feel very protective in this moment, not only of Dylan, but of the trans community who continues to lead the way with their endless grace and inspiration in the face of constant degradation, intolerance, and physical, verbal, and mental violence. I certainly do not speak for this community, but I have something to say. I hope all women will come together to honor us ALL for Internatio
A real one
working in an old cemetery means you see a lot of really great names. nobody names their kids "Fermentina" anymore
Did a baby write this
When Twitter comes back up, it's just going to be a video of Elon Musk reaching for a ukulele.
I am disquieted by the way conversations about children are framed via the rights of parents, rather than the rights of kids.
My baby, while just a baby, isn't my property. They have rights independent of me.
