It made me turn the lights on and I don't get scared by movies

Oddity
One actor is clearly just golfing the whole time.
I have never understood why so many people hated Sky Captain. I fell in love with it immediately, as something simultaneously old and new, and it bombed so hard and the experience was so frustrating, the director has never worked again.
Oh, and I loved Megalopolis for its sheer audacity and absurdity. I'm excited for the making of documentary that's coming soon.
Babylon is my go to. It's a maximalist masterpiece.
I genuinely believe that we do not have the language to explain the movie Cats. It is so far beyond, but one day, we will. It is a future masterpiece that was made twenty years too early, but I am so glad I got to see it.
Holy... Holy shit. This answers a lot of making questions I have about myself and my work ethic.
ITS FLAT FUCK FRIDAY
ROLL THE CLIP
Jesusfuckingchrist
I've been debating going to a boxing gym and this has helped me both really want to and really not want to.
I remember just because it was 10 points more than my university said I needed to get in. Later, I discovered my peers in university didn't take the SATs at all and still got in and I was fucking livid. Maybe still am, almost 30 years later.
don't know if I love this classic Onion article from 22 years ago being relevant again. not loving that
I don't know if I love Get Your War On being relevant again. That's not a thing I'm loving
Man, Trump just couldn't wait until I left my father in law's house

Is this still coming out because they've already spent the advance? It's maybe the least important thing we could be talking about right now! Target the old man with dementia that is actively causing harm!
Silver lining, I guess!

It's outer lands all the way out
I'll bet being from the Outside Lands is a lot like playing Dragon Warrior II or Adventure of Link and coming across the map of the first game, all tiny and unimportant
I could see this being great as a kid's book, one of those things that has a single page about each one, aling with a photo or drawing, like a Rebel Girls or something. Really drive home to kids that everyone used to live with diarrhea before regulations.
This was my favorite article from the last print edition! So glad I can share it now!
Where did you see it? Because I'd like to not put any effort into finding it but I'd also like to see it.
(Apparently pi hua literally means “butt language”, which means I didn’t even get the right “hua”)
She showed it to me and I told her it was beautiful, and she looked at me weird and walked away. My wife looked it up.
Pi hua means shit. She was running around saying “I have a shit!”
I’m at a playground in Taiwan. There is a sandbox and this girl is playing with water and sand. She made a lump and was walking around shouting what I thought was “I have a flower!” (she was saying “pi hua”, and hua means flower).
I find that excited enthusiasm means a lot to me these days, maybe because I'm so full of it myself. Dismissive "worst thing I've ever seen" attitude about a totally fine, 2 star movie just bums me out.
I will argue that The Ring IS the scariest movie since The Exorcist! That was the first movie that distressed me so much, we didn't leave the theater when it was over, opting to stay for the second feature (Roger Dodger) instead of walking home at night!
