Yeah why not casually just drop 120m on one of your rivals captains?
Could come on as a sub in a few games or just be there as yet another 300k+ / week squad player.
Maybe they could pick up Gravenberch and Rice while they’re at it just to continue taking the piss out of the PL.

“Should we go with a nuanced critique of how the league is tougher this year, scoring down across all teams, with much tighter games, boss?”

“Nah, just go with point & laugh at Arsenal and call them shit”

The free flowing attack that took Burnley apart 1-0?
Wonder if there’s any danger they might ever address how City came to have all these attacking options.
Or we’re just pretending everyone in this league isnt competing against Lance Armstrong now?

Yes, I don’t know why Arsenal haven’t gone all out attack this season when all their best attacking players have been injured.
It’s a real head scratcher.

I dunno, look what happened last time he was forced to drop his no dickheads policy.

A better option would be to count how many trophies those clubs have failed to win.
With their colossal resource advantage, huge squads and wage bills, they’re really the only ones in a position to bottle anything.
Any trophy that doesn’t go their way is a huge achievement for a regular club.

Even after all this time I still don’t think people understand how difficult it is to compete with these Nation State or Petro clubs.
They’ve corrupted everything from the transfer market to wages but also most importantly expectations, and even what it means to win.

It’s like letting Lance Armstrong compete with a motorbike while being under investigation for doping.

Yeah buying good PR with deep pockets while intimidating into silence any form of discussion, it’s unsurprisingly highly effective.

Just another disposable 70m bench player to play 5 a season.
Just relegate this appalling club, the last decade of the PL has been a complete waste of time.
Like the Lance Armstrong era of the TdF.

So many garbage takes about Gabriel.
Which had the bigger affect on the match?
And obvious DOGSO on Kai or a bit of handbags half an hour later.

Exactly. Which had a bigger bearing on the match?
The obvious red card and DOGSO for Kai or a bit of handbags half an hour later.

Why not? The entire Abramovich period ended with no consequences whatsoever.

Remind us again how City bought this plethora of attacking talent that everyone is fawning over?

3 days ago 1 0 1 0

I think this “City are bad” is so overblown.
They look on for a domestic treble.
These nation states have just distorted what it means to win so far that anything that’s not completely exceptional is almost dismissed.
Our crime is being a normal club and having a ton of injuries

Check out some of the statements about the Fuentes clinic back then.

Must be how the peloton felt trying to out pedal Lance Armstrong.

Yeah, thought we were really decent today.
Obvs you have to take your chances but were really unlucky.
Coupled with some of the most obviously bent officiating I’ve seen in a while.
People coating the team after that need to have a word with themselves.

No, we’re supposed to believe he saw a handball, even though his view was blocked as he was directly behind Havertz.
No way could he have seen anything.
He gave it because Bernardo wanted it.

5 fouls in the entire match?
They committed that many in the run up to both goals.

3 days ago 4 1 0 0

He managed to spot a handball by Kai from 40yards away on that break.
Well, he didn’t spot it, just gave it because Bernardo asked for it.
But couldn’t see the obvious DOGSO red card from much closer.

The paid up ref

What’s not a fine margin is an obvious red card early in the second half.

On top off the easy red when Havertz was through on goal

Hard to swallow watching them ignore the DOGSO on Havertz and letting that ridiculous Haaland shirt pull go.

Yeah it’s not poor if it’s completely one way is it. There’s another word for that.

I’ve watched us fouled out of games for three decades. Never seen a yellow for persistent fouling given that early.
So predictably transparent after the early Hincapie yellow for nothing in the cup.

Persistent fouling booking after half an hour.
One of the biggest loads of bullshit I’ve ever seen.
Another early yellow for a fullback up against one of their key positions.
So transparent.

I mean Bernardo has managed a whole decade
