I'd love to see the success rate of this swift education
It means you can address the review or not without it influencing whether it gets the final DOI from eLife.
Maybe so. I think all journals going to a consultation and a joint decision letter (like eLife used to have) would be the sweet spot.
What's the upside, getting clarification on the comments? It's your paper in eLife, do what you want with the reviews. I will say there is a downside for reviewers who probably don't want to be embroiled in an open ended affair.
FWIW I remain convinced this was a (brilliant) joke by the authors to see how insane of a figure they could get Neuron to take... bravo.
But AI proof. I think this is where its going to go.
On the plane making my talk and oh so pleased I will get to show on of my favourite figures in sensorimotor neuroscience at Tokyo Hand Meeting II tomorrow. (Graziano et al., 2002).
Don't.

Don't construct a talk to show how smart you are or how much work you've done. No one else cares about that.
If you're worried your poster or talk is too simple, remove one or two more figures and you'll be alright.
a great piece, heart breaking to read at times.
A fun Q and A that @mkashefi.bsky.social and I contributed to for @natcomms.nature.com along with Friston, @annechurchland.bsky.social, and others. www.nature.com/articles/s41...
Wonderful work by Amin!
Had to much fun working on this project with Kelsey and the Hoekstra lab. A project born after Hopi gave a talk at Janelia may years ago
That's so cool.
More then ever there need to accountability in discussion and the way to do that effectively is in person meetings. Whatever money savings they think they get from travel is out the window with suboptimal decision making.
Stoked to be named "Researcher of the Year" at Western's medical school. A real honour that reflects the hard work of my trainees and collaborators. www.schulich.uwo.ca/about/news-e...

How similar are two activity patterns? We all know that low correlations don't mean that they are necessarily dissimilar β our measurements could be noisy. So how do you correct for this? Our slightly nerdy, but hopefully useful preprint takes a deep dive:

Was there any primate work in the last St. Andrew's?

Got it, well what you describe is a total nightmare and probably end times for academia.
Not sure I understand. I am certainly not arguing for that kind of thing.
There are a variety of employer-employee relationships. Not all do this kind of thing.
all involved, but I don't think its worth thinking about too deeply at the moment -- better to live in reality.
